Terms of use

The short version: be kind, this isn't a medical device.

Last updated 2026.

Acceptance

By accessing voxavia.com or app.voxavia.com you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the service. Voxavia is operated by the Voxavia team and provided as-is.

Not a medical device

Voxavia is a self-awareness and training tool. It is not a medical device. Outputs — including F0, jitter, shimmer, HNR, CPPS, formants, GRBAS, RSI, VHI, and any composite scores — are intended to support self-reflection and conversation with a qualified clinician, not to diagnose, prevent, or treat any condition.

If you have concerns about your voice or breathing, please consult a licensed speech-language pathologist, otolaryngologist, or other appropriate medical professional.

Hardware variance

Microphone hardware, room acoustics, and browser implementations vary widely. Voxavia compensates with calibration steps and validity gating, but absolute values may differ from clinical instruments. We disclaim liability for decisions based on Voxavia readings alone.

Acceptable use

  • Don't reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service.
  • Don't use Voxavia for harassment, defamation, or any unlawful purpose.
  • Don't redistribute the dashboard or its outputs as your own product without permission.
  • Don't claim Voxavia outputs are medical advice on someone else's behalf.

Your data

Your sessions, recordings, and surveys live on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit them. Exporting and importing your own data is your responsibility — see /privacy for the full posture.

Intellectual property

Voxavia, the wordmark, the V monogram, and the brand-glass design language are property of the Voxavia team. The audio engine and UI are protected by copyright; rights reserved. Reasonable editorial use of the wordmark is fine; commercial use requires permission.

Third-party content

Voxavia references published clinical instruments — VHI, GRBAS, RSI — for self-rating. The instruments themselves remain the intellectual property of their authors and publishers. Voxavia's implementation is a non-clinical adaptation.

Termination

You may stop using Voxavia at any time by closing the tab. We may, at our discretion, restrict or end access for users who violate these terms or attempt to disrupt the service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Voxavia is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
